Machinator's Fellblades Re-envisioned
From Tom McBride:
So as most of you know now Games Workshop and Forge World have released official rules for the Space Marine Fellblade super-heavy in the Horus Heresy: Betrayal book. The Fellblade is now canon and it puts the rules and history of my "Fellblades" into a lurch. So time for something new....
After much thought I've decided that the best way for me to proceed would be to throw out the “Fellblade” name and stick with what I original envisioned my super-heavies to be. They will now go by their variant names but can all be traced back to an original chassis now called the Glaive. The modified rules and histories will predate the introduction of the official Fellblade into the 40K universe and also explains why it replaced them and also why some are still around today.
So I give you my "re-envisioned" rules for the Glaive super-heavy tank and its variants:

Forge World New Releases - Fellblade!
Forge World has just released the massive Space Marine Fellblade to go with their Horus Heresy releases. This is truly an amazing model and I can't wait to get one. (Just one, the old Alec, "rule of three" is out here!). It costs a hefty $ 248 US!! Yikes!
From Forge World:
Based upon the same STC data as the Baneblade and Deathhammer super-heavy tanks, which are a mainstay of the vast brigades of the Imperial Army, the Fellblade is a more advanced variant that first saw widespread service with the Legiones Astartes in the last decades of the Great Crusade.
It is most noted for its use of Mechanicum atomantic arc-reactor technology and a reinforced metaplas alloy chassis superior even to that of the Baneblade, alongside an advanced accelerator cannon as its primary armament. These systems are all fruits of Dark Age technologies rediscovered and restored to humanity shortly before the nightmare of the Horus Heresy.
The mighty Space Marine Fellblade is a huge multi-part resin and plastic kit. Model designed by Stuart Williamson, which contains two Space Marine crew designed by Mark Bedford.
Also released are the Realm of Battle Cityscape Battlefield Sector. Four pieces, available individually or as a set.
From Forge World:
In a galaxy beset by war, Imperial architecture is by necessity brutal and heavily fortified. Should the Alien, the Traitor or the Heretic attempt to assault an Imperial world, more often than not it is the great cities of humanity that become battlegrounds; open plazas turning into killing grounds while shattered hab-blocks and ruined Administratum complexes become garrisoned redoubts. The humble tools of civilian infrastructure are transformed into key objectives, with generatorum waypoints becoming vital sources of power and sewer networks being pressed into service as guerrilla highways and concealed ambush points.
A set of our four modular Realm of Battle Cityscape tiles. Each is lightweight and durable thanks to the hollow resin method we use, and each 2' x 2' (610 mm x 610 mm) tile is a blank canvas designed to work with your plastic Citadel scenery. The set contains the Primus Sector, Shattered Plaza, Concourse Sector and the Generatorum Sector.
Models, plastic buildings and additional cityscape boards shown in some images are for illustration purposes only.
These detailed tiles were the basis for the Istvaan III display board that we built for UK Games Day, showing just what can be achieved with the combination of Citadel terrain and these tiles. If you missed it, we recently added a showcase video to our YouTube channel. Model designed by Blake Spence.
Check everything out on Forge World's site.
Good Hunting!

New Fellblade from Blood & Skulls!
With the upcoming Feast of Blade tournament I was asked if I could once again supply a prize and of course I said yes. It's not often I get to build up something cool for a good cause. But what to build?
Well a Fellblade naturally, but not just any Fellblade. It was time to introduce something new. So without further ado, here it is:
So as you can see the Tank Engine 2 (plasma engine) and Nova Cannon (plasma cannon) will soon be new entries into my store. They still need a few tweaks before production but both should be available by the end of the month.
Of course with the release of these components I can perhaps restart a old neglected project just in time for the release of their long awaited codex....

Forge World Releases Fellblade for The Horus Heresy!
Forgeworld has released the Fellblade and it is awesome. of course it looks a lot like all the Fellblades from Tom McBride, but I guess great minds think alike (or they like what he did!).
The Fellblade clocks in at 155 GBP which is $ 251. So a very expensive kit!
From Forgeworld:

The mighty Space Marine Fellblade is a huge multi-part resin kit designed by Stuart Williamson, containing two Space Marine crew designed by Mark Bedford. Packed with detail, this immense vehicle will be available to buy in limited numbers at Games Day UK on Sunday 23rd September.

The Imperial Fist Fellblade: Iron Breaker
The Fellblade is one of the most ancient war machines available to the forces of the Imperium. Much like its other heavily armed brethren the Fellblade bristles with potent weapons capable of laying low the most powerful of foes. However, what makes the Fellblade most dangerous is not its formidable guns or massive treads, it is that this hammer of mankind lies within the hands of the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines.
Once a common site along side the elite of the Emperor during the Great Crusades there are but a scant handful remaining amongst the original Legions. However, in the midst of these few are the Fellblades of Renown, artifacts of war that rise up like gods above the titans. One such as this is the Fellblade of the Imperial Fists known in antiquity as the Iron Breaker.
During the time of the Great Crusade is was common amongst the Astartes to modify and sometimes completely rebuild their Fellblades in the never ending quest to forge the perfect war machine. The Imperial Fists were no exception and it was the Master Techmarine Olivander Stormhammer that created perhaps the most well known of these reinventions.
Constructed during the siege of the fortress world of Stratovaust the Iron Breaker proved invaluable against the untold thousands of bunkers and the kilometer of trenches and barricades that surrounded them. The massive siege cannons turned the ferrocrete defenses into powder while its bolters shredded all those foolish enough to stand before it’s might.
At the conclusion of the Ullanor Crusade the Iron Breaker accompanied the Imperial Fists and the Emperor back to Terra where it was placed in the arsenal assigned with the task of protecting the Imperial Palace. Here it served faithfully during the Horus Heresy being one of the few recorded vehicle to have participated in the Defense of Terra and survived to this day. Soon afterwards the Iron Breaker served again as a mobile stronghold against their traitorous brethren, the Iron Warriors, during the assault on the Eternal Fortress on the world of Sebastus IV, known as The Iron Cage.
Tales are told of whole worlds surrendering at the sight of this enormous war machine as it represents the might the Emperor can unleash against his foes through the Imperial Fists. A veteran of over seven thousand battles the Iron Breaker has the distinction of being the only Fellblade to have remained in active service since the awakening of its machine spirit many millennia ago. So successful was the Iron Breaker that centuries later the Adeptus Mechanicus adopted the design for the Imperial Guard naming it posthumously after its creator, the Stormhammer.
But enough of that for now, here are the pics!

Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons Fellblade Completed!
Fellblades are pre-heresy Baneblades that were adapted and used by each Space Marine legion. Tom McBride has been making them, and making kits for them, for almost two years now.
Here is Joel's. It looks great and is finally painted!
