The next great 40K artist!

Nicolàs R. Giacondino, or Nic as his friends call him, is an artist who has done a lot of work for his passion, Warhammer 40,000. Unlike the John Blanche's of the world, Nic has a comic style that really makes his subjects appear larger than life. I LOVE his work.

His Deviant Art Gallery is awesome because for every piece of art, he describes the piece and how it came to be. Piece after piece grabs your attention and you even wind up liking the characters you may not have an affinity for.

Nic is trying to make a living off his artwork and could use your help. He does commissions and you could have your army general or Chapter Master (or Xenos scum) brought to life in full color. So contact him about commissions at nicolas.giacondino@gmail.com.

the unrealistic artist said...: Very cool. I never really got on with the John Blanche stuff either, although I do think it suited the initial launch of 40k back in 87'. The Gothic surrealism was very evocative of the kind of atmosphere GW originally had in mind for the game. I'm off to Deviantart...
