Space Marine Codex and Supplements.

Space marines are coming, and only two months away.    And we can expect some very cool supplements.

The rumour mill has known this for a while now, and we also know that this will be followed by Tyranids in Q1, Imperial Guard in Q 2 and Orks in Q3.  Of course these are all subject to change or again, these are rumors so you have to take them with a grain of salt.

What is really exciting about the new Marine codex is the supplements that will be coming with it.  We know White Scars are being released with the Marine Codex.  And Larry over at Bell of Lost Souls told me Imperial Fists are going to have a supplement right after that.  Word is it may include Black Templars, since they are an Imperial Fist successor chapter.

What other supplements can we expect from the Marines?  Well, of the First Founding chapters, we can expect Dark Angels, Blood Angels and Space Wolves to always get their own codexes.  Ultramarines ARE the Space Marine Codex.  White Scars and Imperial Fists get Supplements, that leaves only Salamanders, Iron Hands and Raven Guard.  So there are your other three supplements.

It makes sense.  4 Loyalist First Founding chapters get Codexes and 5 get supplements.

Loken.

My Ravenwing are excited for bro downs with the White Scars. Some ying yang action to drop the hammer on everything besides dragons, and the "icantseeyoubutikillyou" missiles the Tau use.

Being that the supplements cost as much as the codex, why don't GW just do us a favour and release them as their own codex? Sucks for players who want to play a particular chapter and in OZ have to fork out $166 to play it.

32.99 if you have a tablet that reads iPad, Kindle, Android, or any eReader.

"Country-centric" post, Huron. That "32.99" is the price in U.S.$, and for each, making the total more properly $65.98 (US) for Codex:SM plus Chapter supplement . . . . and as we all know by now, they have to pay a MUCH higher price in Australia.

Having not yet seen the Iyanden codex supplement, can anyone tell me is it worth the price? I don't mind a chapter specific supplement if it is neat, useful, and well put together.. but if it is anything like Death from the Skies I will pass and just play vanilla marines...
