Resin Roundup!

Well, there have been a bunch of releases from different resin manufacturers and so I figured I would post them all in one posting.

Secret Weapon

I previously wrote about these releases from Secret Weapon and they are finally out.   Lots of new bases and this amazing Gothic Power Generator.  These are great for objectives, or Disruptor Beacons for all you Apocalypse players.

Secret weapon has just announced they will be at Adepticon as well and be running two seminars on weathering with pigments.

Max Mini

Max Mini has just launched a set of Gladiator Helmets.

These guys have so many cool bits, especially pre-heresy jump packs.  Check out their website.

Puppets War

Puppets War has been releasing new stuff at an amazing rate.  And their stuff is beautiful.

Temistokles Head Set

G-Team Heads

And these guys have some nice Works in Progress.

Heavy Bike:

Light Bike:

I am not sure why Puppets War wants to come out with regular bikes. Bikes are not a big part of most armies.  Now there still is not a great jet bike in my opinion.  I like neither the Kromlech, nor the Chapterhouse jet bikes.  And the one true pre-heresy bike, from Zealot, is months away from a re-release.  Frankly, I think the bikes are a waste of Puppets War's time.

Well, that is the Resin Roundup!

  2. Good 'bike alternatives' for Imperial Guard Rough Riders are hard to come by - these look like they fit the bill.

Now, if only somebody made a dirt bike variant of Rough Riders for my Catachan... :)

  3. As commented last time, i absolutely love the generator. The temisokles heads look great too, although im not sure how id fit them in my army as they are just so different from regular marine helmets. Personally, i like the bikes. In particular the light bikes with spears. They look clean yet rugged and like a great alternative for rough riders. I never really liked tge idea of horses on the 40k battlefield. Theres a reason why they moved on from horses to motorcycles from WW1 to WW2. Surely horses and machine guns dont mix (although bikes are unlikely to last much longer i imagine).

  5. In response to the jetbike thing, have you checked out MaxMini's Gothic Jetbike? I bought one recently to paint and have been really blown away with the overall quality and design.I've now decided to add 5 of them to my Dark Angels army and run them as 'counts as-Ravenwing Bikes'.Now I just hope that they do an Attack bike version, which after looking at it for a while,I've figured would have to be reminiscent of the Eldar Vyper,ie; with the passenger seated behind the driver and the gun mounted on one side of the rear.

But I do have to say that those Heavy Bikes look quite good and would add a little more uniqueness to anyone running large units of Ravenwing (Or White Scars),I'm thinking along the lines of using them as the unit (Honour Guard) that Sammael runs with.
