The changes in the Games Workshop website seem to be coming soon.
It sems like the combination fo Black Library and Forge World into one website is in fact true, judging by the multiple rumors from different sources.

New GW Website
-New site launches in March
-GW, Black Library, Forgeworld sites all merged under the new site
umbrella. Unknown if the new FW/BL products will get their own separate
areas, or merged into the existing army sub-sections.
-Forgeworld products available from the new webstore and also orderable in GW stores.
-Expanded hobby tips and paint schemes content.
-Games Workshop are changing their current look and will have their site, magazines and stores updated by the end of the year.
I am not sure how I feel, but willing to wait and see!

ugh, no thanks. I feel like customer service will suffer. I hope I can continue to order from FW or BL without the GW influence. I know they are the same company but the customer service feels very different.
ReplyDeleteI disagree completely Zab. Both as a customer now and as a former employee, GW's customer service has always been fantastic, it's one of the few that they don't flip flop on. Merging FW, BL and standard GW into one site will only be a good thing as it'll make reaching them and getting a response from them not only consistent, but also easier to achieve.
ReplyDeleteIn fact their customer service is already a single entity. I recently order a book from BL and when it arrived damaged it was the generic GW customer e-mail address I dealt with and they were not only prompt, but also overly helpful and generous.
