New Tactical Box: New Custom Combi-Weapon

Having a closer look at the new Tactical Marines box, there's a new surprise for us. It features a new customizable Combi-Weapon.

There's half a bolter, along with each piece to make it into any Combi-Weapon. With some clever use of magnets, you could have any gun you'd like right at hand. A pretty nifty bonus, but if you're after them in spades, look to the Sternguard Veteran box. Check them all out on the Space Marine Pre-orders page.

They've been there, done that... for a few years now. Which if it isn't part of the current GW v. Chapter House suite going on, it might become one of it's own in the future.

  5. Personally I wouldn't use Chapterhouse's products myself, I'm not keen on other companies trading off another's IP.
No matter what you may think of GW or not, its their designers concepts and hard work over the years that have created this universe and as far as I'm concerned they deserve the money.
I might buy from a discount seller and occasionally eBay to reduce the costs but always official GW products where possible as I don't feel companies such as Chapterhouse deserve my custom.

Also the new kits are far more detailed and easier to work with than the metal parts CH produce so why would you even bother quite frankly.

  6. Anyone else glad that the Space Marines Strikeforce at $270 (Canadian page) represents a real savings over the individual models at $388? More one clicks like that (I know it's the starter, not a one-click), GW!

First one's always free, eh? Then they got you hooked...

  7. @ The Candid Interloper I was under the impression that the strike force was replacing the normal battle force, whcih if true means that they would HAVE to sell it at a discount.

  8. I am aware that CH makes a kit, and I even own one of theirs. However, this is the first time GW has done it. And with rumors floating around about a bits store next year, this could be a viable means of making some that have the exact look to them. Also, CH's version doesn't have a Graviton option as of yet.

@Azza: It's my understanding that Devastators won't get Grav Cannons. Why they even have the salvo profile for a model that's slow and purposeful is confusing to me as well. Perhaps there are planned future releases with supplements or something of the sort.
