Scam Alert - Chaos Warhound Titan

Please note that "Black Crusade Studio" is a scam, and they are claiming they have a 3D printed model of a Chaos Warhound that they in fact do not have, nor do they have rights to.

The 3D model was actually made by Big Bad Models.  he claims on his "response" video that the scammer never contacted him.   This fraudster also looks suspiciously like a well known scam artist who has been taking advantage of gamers for a couple of years now.

The complete thread on Dakka explains a lot.  You can read it here.

Big Bad Models originally did the model and posted this video in response:

This is from the scammers Facebook page:

So stay away from these bozos and be smart about what you do!

  1. I won't post specific accusations here, but there is a pretty good chance this "studio" is a very well know scammer in the 40k community. I can't understand why someone doesn't take this guy down.

  2. Lol I love reading the comments of his posts. What a joke. Next he will say he has a 3D model leak of the Emperor.

  3. Isn't it a little ironic that he basically stole Forgeworld's IP for a commission and to add one to his own collection as well and is now getting his own twist on their Chaos Warhound ripped off by a scam artist

Just thought i'd point out the Irony in that.

I love it, 3D Printing... being bitten in it's own butt, HAHAHA! God I love this article, great find!

    1. Not exactly. The chap made the model after getting a 3D printer as a proof of concept.
Made the 3D file himself and printed out the Titan over a month. Making changes to the 3D files and deleting as he went.
So the piece is one of a kind.

  4. This guy should sell the 3D-Data to Forgeworld.

  5. Not sure if you guys have looked at his posts on the facebook site but his claim is that someone hired him to print a 3-D rendering they had the files for.

Loken did you ask for a comment from the studio before moving on the story?

Overall I agree with the last poster in that its ironic that someone who has copied GW IP and made changes to it is now upset that someone stole his file and is using it.

The whole thing stinks and I hope the Studio is telling the truth about the file and the two gentlemen can get together and talk. The whole fighting it out on forums and facebook won't get them anywhere.

I think we will start seeing things like this more and more as we get more people in the pool of 3-D printing.
