Forge World New Releases with Palantine Blades!

The Palatine blades are out!  Ever since the Horus Heresy Weekender, Emperor's Children fans have been waiting for these.  They cost £ 32 ($48) for a set of 5.  You can find out all the info on the ForgeWorld site here.

Mk IV Destoryer squads with jump packs!

Tartaros Terminators with Power Fists

This set is £ 176, or $ 262.  This represents a £ 20 ($30) savings.  Now why can't Games Workshop get through their thick head that bundle deals at a discount drive business?

You can also get this set with Power Axes.

And Seeker Bolters for all those marksmen in your Horus Heresy force!

I hope you all have been saving your pennies!

And have a very Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

  1. Or I can buy regular terminators and at GW price and save still save 62 and shipping which is enough for another box of terminators.

Don't get me wrong, forgeworld looks way cool, but it is still cheaper.

  2. I'm not quite sure I understand your point...All OP was pointing out is that discount bundles are nice, as opposed to GW One-Click Bundles, which offer no savings...The fact that even with these savings FW products are liable to be more expensive than their GW counterparts has always been an established fact, I thought.

  3. Yeah Lufgt, your point is not at issue. What is at issue is that Forge World bundles save you money, Games Workshop bundles do not.

  4. And based on the apocalypse bundles may cost your more...

  5. But Lufgt, Forge World is wrong place if you want something cheap. You dont go forge world shopping and expect to get something cheap.

  6. I'm aware that Forgeworld is the wrong place if I want something cheap, however I think the big point is lost on everybody here.

Games Workshop does not discount because they have their Trade Accounts, like Dice of War for example, who do discount their product.

Forgeworld on the other hand can discount their bundles because they have no trade accounts, the only way you can buy Forgeworld is from Forgeworld, and the only incentive to buy something that expensive is if they begin to discount it.

Just like the only incentive to go to a brick and mortar shop is for the discount as well. If GW Discounted everything, including on their websites, people would spend less at those locations because they can just get it for the same price directly from the source, or the GW store.

Besides GW does discount their bundles from time to time, excellent examples are the holiday bundles, the recent Space Marine Mega Battleforce was listed for 250 but contained over 375 in models for a full playable 1500 point army, as well as the recent Apocalypse terrain bundle saves you 490, so to say GW doesn't discount isn't exactly accurate.
