The Digital version of the Farsight Tau supplement comes out the 20th, while the hardcover comes out much later.

3++.
I have to agree with the general sentiment that it would be nice if these were new army lists, not just new fluff and wargear. And full price as a digital dowenload is a lot to bear. There should be a discount for buying a hardcover AND a digital download.

I agree with you Loken. These 40K supplements, while cool, are cost so prohibitively it makes me cringe. The same cost as a codex is extreme- especially for a digital supplement.
ReplyDeleteWait, how much do they cost?!
ReplyDeleteJames, they usually cost the same as the codex, regardless of the format you buy them in. So if you want to play Farsight then you need to buy the Tau codex and this supplement. So double the cost.
ReplyDeleteSo far the eBook versions have been cheaper by around 33% compared to the hardback or iPad versions. The eBook version of the main rules due out in october is going to be less than half the cost of the hardback. Tho I expect it'll be the cut down fluffless version from Dark Vengence.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: the eBook rules are out july 20th. It's the hardback farsight supplement that's out in october.
Deletehmmm I stand corrected. Seems that the eBook is cheaper. But there only seems to be the Eldar codex and the farsight supplement available as eBooks at the moment. Hopefully they can release all of them for android!
