The Price List is out! And Apocalypse is coming in force.
We have a ton of new models to look forward to and accessories as well. And the list tells us a little about Second Edition Apocalypse. Specifically there are now Strategic Asset cards as well as special "Collector's Edition" and "Gamer's Edition" items.
The Necron get an Arc and the Wall of Martyrs gets nasty gun support!

I am getting fired up for some big games!

Nice! I'm digging those Wall of Martyrs add-ons.
ReplyDeleteI rather object to the 'in force'. There's a spattering of releases - two -, a massively expensive re-boxing of the same old kit and some small minis. Hardly 'apocalyptic'. Where are the Greater Daemons? Where's the Dark Eldar flyer? Where's the Eldar super tank? The Imperial Knight walker?
ReplyDeleteIt just seems a faff. OK, the Khorne engine is huge, but if it can only be played in Apocalypse level games it's just wibble, and the Forge World Brass Scorpion is far nicer.
Well, it is a sizeable release. The issue is cost. EVERYTHING is much more expensive.
ReplyDeleteAnd agree on the Brass Scorpion.
i'm inclined to agree with pegboard on this one. this seems like a damp squib if ever there was one. as a Khorne player, i'm genuinely excited to see the Lord of Skulls, but without other models for other races to pique interest there seems precious little point in buying one.
ReplyDeleteif it was clear that the quality and standard of the miniatures and rules had increased, then the price hike, no matter how annoying, would be comprehensible. but with the Baneblade being literally the same model with an enormous price tag, and the last few codex/army books feeling rather 2D the extra money doesn't seem to be getting us any more product.
