APOCALYPSE HOUSE RULES

BATTLE ZONE

You will be assigned to Battle Zones based on what army you are playing.  Meaning, Eldar will play together, Chaos will be together, etc.

ARMY SELECTION

1.       3,000 points minimum.    20,000 point maximum.  If you want to bring MORE than 20,000 points you need to have a lieutenant for every 20,000 points helping.
2.       Painted models ONLY.  Painted models must be GW tournament standard of 3 colors and based.  Strict WYSIWYG
3.       You can use any combination of Imperial Armies if you are on the Imperial side (Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Grey Knights or Sisters of Battle) or Xenos/Imperial armies if you are on the Xenos side.
4.        Minimum Force Org Chart Rule - You may field multiple armies, but must have at least 1,500 points of an army, which must include an HQ and two FULL troop selections.
 5.       You may bring any forces allowed by your codex, the Apocalypse Rulebook, Apocalypse Reload, Imperial Armor Apocalypse I (second edition) & II and any Imperial Armor book.
6.        No DIY models, units or formations unless approved by the Administratum. Scratchbuilds of GW models OK. We will also be using The Bell of Lost Souls "Lords of Battle" supplement, which has rules for Armorcast and Epic units. Fellblades per Tom McBrides datasheets are approved.

HOUSE RULES

1.        Troops only can hold objectives. (except Gargantuan Creatures or any model with structure points).
2.        Only models with a WS can contest objectives.
3.        Little things do not affect big things. Meaning special rules of codex forces do not affect Gargantuan Creatures or any model with structure points. (such as Tech Priest repairs, Mec Boyz force fields etc.).
4.        Unlimited range weapons and effects in 40K are limited to 72” in Apocalypse.
5.        Any player can only have one of each named character.
6.        That named character can be part of two formations. However, you pay the extra points for him in the second formation and do not get an additional model. So if he is in two formations (Like Marneus Calgar) then you pay double for the model.
7.         Special Rules - If you take allied armies, special rules from one army DO NOT carry over to the other armies. For example, Vulcan He'stan's special rules ONLY affect your codex Space Marines, and not any allied Witchhunters, Demon hunters or non-codex marines (e.g. Blood Angels).
8.        Special characters only affect units from your own codex and declared on army list for the purposes of army-wide effects, as in changing scoring units, etc. In addition, any one player can only have one of any given special character.
9.     Wound Allocation - To speed things up, the defending player in any attack can simply roll all wounds at once and remove any models he wants. This will save time and has the added benefit of preserving your heroic leaders.
10.     All Super heavies count as moving first turn.
11.     Any Strategic Reserves not on the table by the start of Turn 3 are DEAD. (Exception is troops that suffered a Deep Strike mishap, which must re-enter where they attempted the previous turn).
12.     Players entering from Reserves may ALWAYS enter on their board edge and not be affected by any Disruptor Beacon.  Reserves are assumed to have been just behind the front lines and moving up, and thus not easily misdirected.  This ONLY applies to models moving on from your own board edge.
13.     If a Vortex grenade touches a building, it is removed from play.  Any model in that building must take an initiative text.  If it fails, it is removed from play.
14.     Each player gets one Strategic Asset.
15.     The following Assets may NOT be taken:  Jammers, Vital Objective.
16.     If you get Flank March as part of a specific formation, then it only applies to that formation, not your whole army.  A Flank Marching unit may NOT use Careful Planning to arrive before Turn 2.
17.     Flank March is limited to 1,000 points.  Super Heavy vehicles and Gargantuan Creatures may not Flank March.
18.     The Replacements strategic Asset may only be used on units 500 points or less.

1.     The Ork Plusa Rokkit is outlawed. Sorry, this is totally broken.
2.     The Chaos Conclave counts as a single Disruptor Beacon centered on Abbadon.
3.     Deathstrike Vortex Missle - This is limited to one per player. You must have at least 5,000 points of IG or Traitor Guard to use one.

HOUSE RULES – FLYERS

1.     Flyers vs. Titans - Flyers are always considered outside a Titan's void shields
2.     Valkyries, Vendettas and Stormravens may be flyers per Apocalpse rules, but may only be used in the datasheet formations, which you have to pay for.
3.     Dark Eldar Razorwing and Void Bombers, as well as Necron Doom Scythes and Night Scythes may be used as Flyers with armor 10 if your opponent has flyers.
4.     Flyers are always considered outside a Titan's void shields
5.     Any army may take an AA Vehicle that has the stats of an Imperial Guard Hydra. However, it must be modeled to look like part of your race’s army.

I'd love to see pictures/video of the armies. Be really interesting to see someone do an Apocalypse battle report. :) And with the scale of this game, it would truly be a site to behold.
